In case you haven’t heard, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Last night at our MOPS meeting, we had a representative from the Susan G. Koman Foundation speak to our group. The statistics are staggering and while the number of deaths from breast cancer has fallen recently, it’s still a disease that will affect a million women in the United States this year.
Early detection and screening is so important, especially the older we get. Don’t pass on those monthly self exams and those yearly mammograms. You’re the best person because you know your body and you know what has changed from month to month.
Save the Ta-Ta’s!
